Clothing Donation for a Great Cause: Host a Big Blue Bin

About the Big Blue Bin Program

The Blue Bin program is free! Metal bins are placed at approved outdoor locations and are serviced weekly by the Big Blue Truck, with on-call service options available.

Join us on a mission to make a positive impact in our community by becoming a participant in the Big Blue Bin program. By hosting a Big Blue Bin at your organization, you become part of an initiative that supports inclusive education and employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Host a Big Blue Bin

The Big Blue Bin, serviced by the Big Blue Truck, is a weather-resistant donation bin measuring 4 x 3 x 6ft. It stands as a beacon of sustainable giving within the community, encouraging donations of unwanted clothing, textiles, and accessories throughout the year.

Supporting Our Mission
Helps Us Make a Positive Impact on Even More People

Your involvement in the Big Blue Bin program directly impacts lives:

  1. Supporting children with disabilities: With 1 in 6 children having a disability and over 5,800 children in King County alone waiting for services, your contributions make a significant difference.

  2. Empowering adults with disabilities: Your participation aids over 310,000 adults with disabilities seeking employment.

How it Works

Hosting a Big Blue Bin is a simple process:

  • Your organization partners with Northwest Center.

  • We place a metal bin at an approved outdoor location within your premises.

  • The Big Blue Truck services the bin weekly, with on-call service options available.

  • We maintain responsibility and liability for the donation bins, ensuring a hassle-free experience for you and program participants.

For indoor settings, we also offer 95-gallon wheeled donation bins!
